A.R. Policies - A.R. will
count for 15% of the quarter grade. A.R. score s will be recorded a
minimum of twice a quarter, at midterm and at the end of the quarter. All A.R. must be completed on or
before the due date established by the Reading and English departments.
A.R. due dates will be posted I the classroom as well as on the class
website.
- Students
who choose to read books that are not A.R. books or have failed an A.R.
may submit a book report. Book report forms are available in
class and on the class website under the "Book Report" tab. All book reports must be signed off by
Mrs. Heister. Book reports that are incomplete or have not been signed off
by Mrs. Heister will not be accepted.
- Students are expected to behave ethically. Cheating on tests, taking
or having someone take an AR test for another student, copying an
assignment, or any other form of plagiarism will not be tolerated. Any
student who participates in this activity will receive a "U" in
citizenship and a zero in AR, which is 15% of their grade. Futhermore,
this will lower them at least one grade.
- Students who behave unethically on AR (through activities such as
cheating or taking an AR test for another student) will receive a zero
in AR, which is 15% of their quarter grade. This will lower their grade
at least one grade level."
